The senior traffic engineer will lead traffic engineering activities, providing technical guidance on planning, design, and analysis of transportation systems. The role requires strong expertise in traffic modeling, urban road network design, and integration with civil and utility infrastructure.

The project involves comprehensive land development including road networks, intersections, and other transport infrastructure. The role includes traffic planning, analysis, and design to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable movement within the development, aligned with Saudi regulations and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering design and analysis for roads, intersections, and internal circulation networks.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments, capacity analysis, and road safety audits.
• Coordinate with civil design, MEP/utilities, and urban planning teams to ensure integrated solutions.
• Prepare and review traffic modeling, simulations, and technical reports.
• Ensure designs comply with Saudi traffic codes, regulations, and international best practices.
• Provide technical advice on traffic signal design, signage, and pedestrian/cyclist infrastructure.
• Identify and mitigate potential traffic-related risks and issues during design and pre-construction phases.
• Mentor and guide junior traffic engineers and support staff.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings to present technical solutions and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or related field; master's degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transport planning, and road design.
• Proven experience on large-scale land development or urban infrastructure projects in GCC countries, preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi traffic standards, codes, and road safety regulations.
• Proficiency in traffic analysis and modeling software (Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).
• Strong project management, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
