Job description / Role
Objective: Supervise the human and technical resources to effectively achieve departmental production goals according to the manufacturing specifications and following the safety and environmental guidelines, as well as achieving product quality and process efficiency.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Efficiently manage production planning for reprocessing section of the department.
- Ensure Rubber reprocessing and offgrade sections meet the goal and objectives in terms of safety, employee development, quality, production, machine maintenance and environmental compliance.
- Define preventive maintenance strategy and manage all maintenance activities.
- Plan and supervise day to day activities of production staff, specifically shift operators.
- Control and manage production parameters.
- Manage adjustment to production parameters, start-up, color control, etc.
- Ensure that production floor is left in optimum condition upon shift completion.
- Compile and submit all reports relevant to production, maintenance, safety and quality.
- Act as liaison between production, logistics, maintenance and quality.
- Coordinate MFI analysis and manage quality aspects accordingly
- Collaborate in the improvement process
- Ensure safety and environmental standards compliance.
- Suggest improvements in production, quality, safety and environment
- Specify the objectives and KPIs of direct charge employees and their measurement
- Ensure tracking and monitoring of the objectives
- Staff training in the workplace and equipment
- Support planning of annual maintenance (preventive/predictive)
- Check the correct execution of corrective maintenance
Requirements
- Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science
- Must have proven supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience in similar position
- Hands on experience with extruders and mixers
- English language proficiency is required. Arabic language a definite plus.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Interpersonal skills such as leadership, team building and communication.
