Job description / Role
***Clarification on SMP Contract: It is Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of SMP Vendor Company/Contract.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Responsible for 24/7, 365-day monitoring of NEOM Operations Utilities Services. The primary responsibility will be ensuring the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted functioning of our systems, delivering the highest level of service through proactive oversight, problem-solving, and effective team leadership
REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
The Shift Supervisor SMP responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Key Accountabilities:
• Lead and supervise assigned teams during their shifts to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned utilities systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, resolve minor issues, and escalate critical situations according to established protocols.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate activities with other teams and departments to maintain seamless service delivery.
• Respond to emergencies and unplanned events in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Prepare and submit reports to management as required.
• Budget and control expenses for the utility plant.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in utility management.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience or more in the utilities industry, preferably in operations, maintenance, or customer service. Supervisory experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Knowledge of the specific utility they are applying to (e.g., water, power, gas) and its regulations is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of utility systems, equipment, and processes is essential.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in degree in a related field like engineering, technology, or business
• administration is preferred.
