Site MEP Inspector

Job description / Role

Role:

We are looking for site MEP Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and supervising MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved designs. The role requires hands-on experience in contractor supervision and the ability to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and accurately.


Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor MEP installations on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
• Ensure all works comply with project drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed correctly and on schedule.
• Review and verify contractor work plans, materials, and equipment.
• Report non-conformities and recommend corrective actions to the Resident Engineer or MEP Manager.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, progress records, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with design engineers, contractors, and project management for smooth execution.
• Conduct tests and commissioning activities as per project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards on-site.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
• 5-10 Proven experience in contractor supervision on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and installation practices.
• Familiarity with inspection tools, testing equipment, and quality assurance procedures.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to identify issues promptly and recommend practical solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other MEP software is a plus.
