Job description / Role
Main Job Purpose:
Survey the site to gather information and precise measurements on geographic, hydrographic, and topographic features, utilize surveying instruments such as total stations, and GPS…etc. to measure distances accurately, create digital maps and reports using GIS (geographic information systems) technology
Daily tasks:
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries, based on legal deeds and titles.
• Record the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
• Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, building or land surveying technology, cartography, or a related field is required
• 5-7 years of experience as a construction surveyor, land surveyor, or cartographer is needed
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, primavera, MS office is a must
• Middle East & Saudi Arabia experience is a plus
• Infrastructure project experience
• Strong safety measures
