Sous Chef - Healthcare

Job description / Role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join the healthcare culinary team of our client in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to the dietary needs of patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a positive dining experience within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Oversee meal production to meet dietary requirements and healthcare standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Manage and train kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with dietitians and nutritionists to accommodate patient-specific dietary plans.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies efficiently.
- Maintain hygiene standards and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Contribute to menu development with a focus on balanced, patient-friendly meals.

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, preferably within healthcare or hospitality settings.
- Must be able to join immediately or maximum of 30 days' notice period
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of nutrition and dietary restrictions in healthcare.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with medical staff.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as healthcare services operate round the clock.

Salary:
SAR 7,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
