Job description / Role
The Sports Asset Executive Director will lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of top-tier sports facilities, drawing in athletes and the sports community establishing the area as a premier global sports destination.
Client Details
The client is a major authority in the Kingdom working on large-scale mixed-use assets, focused on developing and revitalising historical and cultural assets in addition to luxury Residential, Commercial and Hospitality projects amongst others.
Description
- Lead the development of strategic sports facilities by designing and proposing best-in-class facilities aligned with the company's vision.
- Monitor project lifecycles and oversee the creation and delivery of sports facilities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Implement regular maintenance and improvement programs, maximising the lifespan and user experience of facilities, ensuring the optimisation of asset performance.
- Manage and foster stakeholder collaboration by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and facility utilisation.
- Champion sustainability by integrating sustainable practices into facility operations and maintenance, minimising environmental impact.
- Monitor the performance of facilities, assessing their impact on athlete attraction, community engagement, and sports sector goals.
- Explore and implement innovative technologies and design solutions to enhance the functionality and appeal of sports facilities.
- Regularly report on progress, performance, and maintenance requirements to senior management and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the sector's short- and long-term strategy from the department's perspective in line with the company's overall vision and mission.
- Develop the department's strategy, objectives, KPIs annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets.
- Prepare and submit the department's annual budget for approval taking all planned activities and necessary investments into consideration by monitoring the financial performance.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation and adherence of the department policies and procedures as well as the overall performance of the department and ensure KPI's are well developed, cascaded, communicated, and monitored.
- Ensure effective staffing, professional development, and deployment of staff of the sector in consultation with the Sector Executive.
- Direct the department's connection to its customers, whether internal or external, to ensure customer needs are met effectively.

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 18 years of experience of which 6 would be in an executive or managerial role.
- A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in the above relevant fields will be preferred.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English with excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of standards, regulations, best practices, and performance benchmarks.
- Upholds professionalism, excellent presentation, integrity, and outstanding customer service.
- Proven experience in sound decision-making and effective leadership.
- Skilled in strategic thinking.
