Static Technician III

Title: Static Technician III

Overview:
Receives jobs, work instructions, drawings, and specifications from the supervisor and performs required work.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all maintenance type work, both preventative and corrective, to static equipment including installation and removal of blinds.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
• Be available for call out per site requirements.
• Perform all installation and maintenance work per company and KBR procedures and guidelines.
• Be competent in the safe use of: grinder, drill (hand-held and magnetic), portable band saw, hand-held torque wrench, air-operated impact, threading machine, and cutting torch.
• Perform good housekeeping during and after job completion.
• Carry out necessary testing (hydro, pneumatic) and maintain good housekeeping before, during, and after completion of work.
• Have basic skills for understanding process P&IDs and piping isometric drawings.
• Assist in taking field measurements and install screwed piping systems.
• Be strong in mechanical static equipment and piping systems.
• Read, understand, interpret, and speak English.
• Be organized and proactive.
• Be willing to assist and support other crafts as needed to meet schedule requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Minimum 7 years of experience in an operating facility (refinery or chemical) with working knowledge in maintenance of boilers, heat exchangers, distillation columns, pressure vessels, drums, storage tanks, pipe installation, and piping systems.
