Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Manage and support fire stations and be responsible for the performance of that station in achieving its objectives.
• Provide leadership, management and development to support Fire Captains and other employees in the competent performance of their roles and in achieving the objectives of the area.
• Work with stakeholders to achieve the objectives of Britam Arabia community safety program and to ensure safety and public relations in the community are continuously improved.
• Improve the decision making capability of the Service by measuring the performance and service delivery of the area they are responsible for and provide information about evaluations and reviews they conduct.
• Work with Operations team and other Managers, to coordinate and improve the performance of stations and in achieving the Service’s objectives of continuously improving delivery throughout the organization.
• To meet their organizational business plans; plan coordinate and close projects relevant to their functional area.
• Provide management support and leadership in the delivery of an emergency service as incident managers and in other incident support roles.
• Lead, Monitor and Support people to resolve operational incidents
• Review and determine incident status
• Assume responsibility and implement action to support those involved in the incident
• Debrief following resolution of incident.
• Determine solutions to hazards and risks identified through inspection and investigation
• Plan inspections and investigations Implement inspections and investigations Respond to findings following inspections and investigations.
• Plan and implement activities to meet service delivery needs

• To undertake any other reasonable duty, commensurate with the grading and responsibility of the post, across the Service in order to meet Service priorities and business continuity requirements.

Requirements

• Communication (written and oral), application of numbers, Information Technology, working with others, improving own Learning and Performance & Problem solving.
• Station Managers are expected to develop and apply key skills at a level that matches the requirement of the expected work performance. The application of the necessary level of competencies in core skills forms an integral part of the requirements of their post.
