Steel Structural Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Steel Structural Engineer for Facade-Steel to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will first undergo training in our office at Industrial 15 Sharjah for 6 months and to be assigned at our branch in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of steel structures for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will collaborate with contractors, and other engineers to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions. Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze steel structures using advanced engineering software and tools.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, technical specifications, and construction documents for steel structures.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive structural solutions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and construction methods to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams during the implementation phase.
- Perform structural assessments and retrofitting of existing steel structures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and technologies related to steel structures.
- Participate in project meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress to clients and team members.

- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in the design and analysis of steel structures, preferably in the Facade Design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Prokon, Idea Statica, Limcon, Ram Connection, Anchor Design Tools, etc.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and international standards, such as BS, EN, ASCE, ASTM and other relevant facade guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and safety in engineering practices.
- A valid professional engineering license or certification is preferred.
