Job description / Role
- Define data storage & backup policies and procedures
- Be responsible for file storage naming conventions, hierarchy and placement decisions
- Be responsible for design, sizing, selection, procurement, configuration and operation of all data storage infrastructure
- Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring to ensure the integrity and utility of storage infrastructure
- Involve with definition and agreement of archiving policy
- Retrieve archived data as needed to meet any business requirements
- Archive data according to rules and schedules defined
- Managing tools partner performance according to contractual obligations
- Provide expert technical support for storage & backup - and archive-related major incidents and problems.
Requirements
- First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Minimum (5-8) years relevant work experience
- Good experience on Specialized skills in VERITAS\LEGATO\TSM
- Good knowledge of EMC, IBM/HP storage, NetApp, HDS, Exadata, TSM, Netbackup
- Basic networking knowledge (LAN,SAN,WAN)
- Good Knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and industry standards
- Good Knowledge of Linux and UNIX, Good communication skills for technical issue
