Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Systems Lab Services organization is looking for an IT Management Consultant with expertise in IBM Storage technology and products to lead and deliver pre-sales and post-sales client engagements that enable the adoption of IBM Storage Systems.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated a successful history of designing and deploying new and complex high-quality storage solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements, can independently assess IT infrastructures, evaluate gaps in best practices and create IBM storage solution recommendations for client environments while displaying excellent collaboration and communication with Clients, Sellers, Business Partners and Colleagues by delivering reports to clients.

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing and delivering IBM solution design, architecture, and implementation of IBM Storage solutions which may include:

- Developing and delivering consulting assessments and workshops for the IBM Spectrum Suite of Products
- Design and Deploy IBM Spectrum Scale and IBM ESS
- Design and deploy Storage Cloud solution for PaaS cloud platform (Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift etc.)
- Supporting Storage solutions for VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, Power Linux
- OpenStack API development and integration
- Automation using Shell or Ansible or similar scripting language

This role requires a strong knowledge of the SAN and Storage domain, focusing on IBM Storage Systems. You will work with customers and IBM Sales and Business Partners to position, scope, and delivery of IBM Storage Solutions including the Software defined Storage portfolio. Candidates must possess a strong background in consulting and Professional services and knowledge of IBM's Storage portfolio.

Requirements

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

- Minimum of 7+ years of functional experience in the Storage Domain and 3 years' experience in IBM Storage
- Extensive understanding of Storage concepts including Storage Architecture, Fiber Channel
- Hands-On experience in managing multi-vendor Enterprise Class Storage Systems (Block, NAS, SAN Switches)
- Experience with Hybrid Storage Solutions
- Must have experience in Storage Automation and understanding of scripting day to day tasks
- Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning and Deployment including Storage Replication, Point in time Copy
- Good Communication Skills both written and Verbal
- Customer facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, and report presentations.
- Project management and the ability to collaborate across teams globally
- Networking skills especially TCP/IP knowledge
- Ability to lead customer technical workshops up to 20+ people
- Candidate should be self-organized, eager to learn with strong sense of analysis & troubleshooting skills
- Readiness up to travel 20% travel annually
- English: Fluent
