(Structural steel detailer) Job Description:

On a behalf of high profile client, we are looking for outstanding Structural steel detailer, to hire urgently, it is preferable to have work experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC.

Summary:

Structural steel detailers are responsible for creating detailed plans that show how structural steel will be used in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures. These plans must adhere to local building codes and standards, as well as national standards set by organizations like the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).

Job Duties:

• Creating drawings of building plans and structures using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Reviewing blueprints and drawings to ensure they are accurate and complete
• Performing calculations to determine the amount of materials needed for a job
• Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed during construction to prevent injury or damage to property
• Communicating with contractors, architects, engineers, or other members of the construction team to discuss project details
• Coordinating with other team members to schedule deliveries of materials and coordinate construction activities
• Maintaining records of costs, labor hours, and other data related to projects
• Installing steel members such as joists, beams, columns, girders, and stairs using welding equipment
• Determining the type of structural steel needed for a project based on design plans and building codes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years experience in steel detailing, with a focus on structural steel
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures or similar software
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
referred Skills and Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in engineering or related field
• 5+ years experience in steel detailing
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Familiarity with other software programs, including Revit, Navisworks, and BIM
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with little supervision
