Job description / Role

Bayan Gardens School, Sister company to Electronia and located in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia offers students a dual track instructional program in English and Arabic. The school currently services students Preschool through Grade 8 with a commitment to add one grade level each year. The school is fully licensed by the Ministry of Education. Following Saudi educational law, boys and girls are educated in different facilities beginning at grade 5. The modern Girls facility is eight years old, while a new Boys facility opened in 2007.

Al Khobar is situated on the Arabian Gulf and is home to a large western expatriate community. English is spoken everywhere. There is outstanding shopping in the numerous malls featuring well known European and North American shops. Internationally recognized restaurant chains combined with traditional Middle Eastern restaurants provide a variety of dining experiences.

Objective:

To counsel and guide school children and develop their aptitude in proper behavior, adolescence, and communication and social skills

Responsibilities:

1. Guide school children on the following:
a. Behavior
b. Manners
c. Social aptitude
d. Communication skills
e. Social skills
f. Solve child-child/adult/parent/teacher problems
g. Engage in awareness programs in substance abuse, adolescent issues, mannerisms, etc.
h. Conduct meetings concerning child-parent issues
i. Offer guidance to other teachers and parents on how to deal with child issues

Requirements

a. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Language Arts with 5 years min experience in student counseling (elementary to middle school)
b. Proficient in Arabic and English language
c. Good personality
d. Excellent skills in handling student issues including adolescence
e. Good track record in field of experience
f. Willing to commit to school for a minimum of 3 years
