Job description / Role
- Identify and develop the best sources of lighting supply through knowing the supplier's products, performance and capabilities.
- Choose suppliers and get quotes for various quantities, tools, NRE costs and lead times, and generate bill of materials reports with cost for bids and offers
- Develops and strengthens relationships with lighting suppliers / strategic partners; It supports the initial qualification and then the promotion of a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers and their management in the field of lighting
- Develop, write and implement annual procurement plans to support operational requirements
- Act as a liaison between the company and various suppliers regarding changes or problems related to the delivery of lighting to meet production schedules
- Driving, tracking and providing key sourcing metrics (price, quality, logistics, innovation, risk)
- Implement the total cost of ownership (TCO) approach for all procurement activities
- Carry out purchase orders directly from the suppliers / or from the local market if the order is required
- Support planning for lighting materials to import by acting based on ordering procedures and exception letters from the company's ERP system.
- Other duties are determined by field of work
Requirements
- They have experience in the field of lighting 4+ years
- The UAE work experience is a defining feature
- Understand lighting product specifications in order to better communicate with suppliers
- Good project management skills, organizational, collaborative and communication skills
- Be skilled in supplier management, such as contract management, and any experience managing the supply process is highly desirable
- Has the ability to interpret technical drawings
- Any knowledge of developing suppliers is a plus (eg, 6 sigma, PPAP, APQP, etc.).
