Job description / Role
A leading construction consultancy with a rich history of delivering high-quality projects across Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled and experienced Support Services Manager to join their team. This is a remote position, based in Saudi Arabia, where you will oversee and manage the support services operations to ensure smooth functioning of the construction projects.
Position Overview: As a Support Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various support functions within the construction projects. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient operation of our sites and the overall success of our projects. This is a senior-level role that requires a deep understanding of construction operations and the ability to lead a team.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee Support Services Operations: Lead and manage the support services team, including administrative staff, site coordinators, and other personnel involved in the smooth functioning of construction projects.
• Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies needed for project operations.
• Facilities Management: Manage and maintain all construction site facilities, including offices, accommodation, utilities, and other infrastructure requirements.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies across all support service operations, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for support services, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers, negotiating contracts and monitoring performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide necessary support services and address any operational challenges that arise.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on support services operations, including progress updates, budget reviews, and key performance indicators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the support services team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
Salary:
SAR
20,000 to 40,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Negotiable depending on experience
Requirements
Qualifications:
• 15 to 20 years of experience in support services management within the construction industry.
• GCC experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as construction management, engineering, or business administration.
• Proven track record of successfully managing support services operations on construction projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management processes and practices.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse group of individuals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
• Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant tools.
• Ability to work remotely and effectively manage a team in a remote location.
