Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• L1 and L2 Desktop support to the Riyadh user base - comprising of a diverse group of teams, including bankers, back office operations, and shared services. This also includes support for senior management such as CEO and COO.
• User account and application access management – support the joiner/mover/leaver process, ensuring all system access is managed appropriately during this lifecycle, and user accounts are provisioned in a timely manner
• Prioritization of support calls and pro-active communication of status on a regular basis to the head of IT and to the business
• Support, maintenance and lifecycle management of the Riyadh banking platform ecosystems, comprising network (LAN, WAN, MAN) SAN storage, Database (Oracle) and server (virtual and physical Linux and Windows)
• Adherence to all CTO processes in regards to incident, problem and change management
• Supporting the application team with required infrastructure enhancements and upgrades, such as coordinating the provisioning of new clients and servers
• Capacity Management – ensuring the infrastructure platform meets all capacity requirements
• Backup Management – management of the backup schedule, ensuring tapes are changed on a regular basis and sent for offsite storage as required.
• Disaster recovery – participation in Business Continuity management, including maintaining the required infrastructure in the Disaster recovery site, and participating in annual DR exercises
• Data Centre management - regular health checks on the production and Disaster recovery Data Centre infrastructure
• Manage IT Risks – conduct regular systems checks to the required frequency (daily/monthly/annual), record appropriate evidence of these and take remedial action where required
• Voice and Voice recording administration

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in IT, preferably in a banking environment
• In depth knowledge of Windows 7, Microsoft Office and other Desktop Applications
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows 2008
• In depth understanding of networking: TCP/IP, Firewalls, DNS
• Working knowledge of VMWare vSphere

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
• Working knowledge/certification of ITIL
• IP Telephony, managing compliance voice recording systems (Avaya, Lync)
• Knowledge & experience of Windows 7
• SAN / NAS technology (HDS, NetApp)
• Linux (RHEL)
• Oracle
