Job description / Role
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of Human Resources business plans in line with the organization strategy.
- Develop the operational plan for talent acquisition in line with the Human Resources business plan and operations' strategic plan.
- Implement plans and provide input to talent acquisition goals that support the organization's overall strategic plans.
- Provide input to identify talent acquisition required projects to meet future demands.
- Support in identifying and evaluating risks and provide input on the mitigation plans developed.
- Participate in talent acquisition annual budgeting cycle and process.
- Manage talent acquisition efficiently and within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
- Lead the design and implementation of talent acquisition policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high impact and achieving results effectively and efficiently.
- Encourage team and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
- Remain abreast of Human Resources leading practice and new trends, and identify recommendations for corrective measures, updates and improvements where required.
- Establish working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements in order to identify barriers and develop action plans.
- Manage the preparation of progress reports or continuous information and updates direction to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress.
- Actively gain exposure and insights to local market development, business opportunities and the existing regulatory landscape.
- Attend related forums, seminars, etc. to enrich network and learn about the latest developments and opportunities.
- Manage, guide and assist team to perform operations in accordance with set policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Human Resources function to identify and recruit talent for talent acquisition.
- Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate and appraise incumbents and provide regular feedback on performance.
- Promote a high-performance working environment embracing the organization's values.
- Develop annual recruitment plan and budget ensuring alignment with workforce plan and monitor implementation of the plan as well as the ad-hoc workforce needs in order to update the plan accordingly.
- Develop sourcing strategy and define appropriate sourcing channels to ensure that desired talents are acquired at optimal effectiveness and cost efficiency.
- Oversee social media platforms usage (e.g., LinkedIn) in order to ensure proper job postings and efficient headhunting.
- Maintain fruitful relationships with universities and relevant academic institutions to attract potential candidates.
- Monitor engagement with head-hunters, hiring agencies, and sourcing service providers in order to ensure efficient candidate sourcing.
- Ensure that new jobs are posted on approved sourcing channels with clear job details (e.g., job accountabilities, years of experience, educational background, etc.) to ensure accurate depiction of job openings.
- Ensure that the organization's website and portal remain updated with the latest job postings to ensure that potential candidates are aware of openings.
- Manage the execution of screening activities and the shortlisting of candidates to ensure alignment with recruitment needs and job specifications.
- Oversee the interviewing process, attend interviews related to key positions, and accordingly provide recommendations based on interview outcomes.
- Ensure the assessment of candidates according to specific competencies (e.g., technical, behavioral, personal, managerial, etc.) needed for the job, and guide the selection of best-fit candidates.
- Validate job offers upon selection of successful candidates ensuring that all the needed details are covered and written in a professional manner.
- Oversee negotiations with candidates regarding job offers and recommend best course of action for any requested changes including proposed salary and benefits.
- Validate finalized employee contract and ensure it is properly integrated in the employee database.
- Manage the execution of onboarding activities to ensure proper employee integration within the organization culture and work environment.
- Ensure the execution of probation period assessments for new joiners in order to select best-fit candidate.
- Review reports reflecting talent acquisition activities, identify gaps and shortcomings and accordingly provide needed recommendations for corrective actions.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in a talent acquisition field.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent is required.
- Master's degree in Human Resources or equivalent is preferred.
