Employment: Full Time

We are pleased to be working with an automotive company based in KSA who are looking to grown their team.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for accurately preparing and filing Zakat, Value Added Tax, and Withholding Tax returns and other documents on a monthly and yearly basis. In addition, the Tax Manager develops tax strategies and policies that help the company and Head of Departments to maintain compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Lastly, the Tax Manager will also identify tax problems and propose solutions. The Tax Manager reports to the Group Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities would include:

• The Zakat & Tax Manager should be a tax accounting expert to manage and facilitate the accurate preparation and filing of company’s tax & Zakat returns
• The Zakat & Tax Manger will ensure compliance with ZATCA regulation & law through a series of systems and system controls that are designed to ensure accurate, timely reporting
• Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies
• Facilitate and manage the preparation and review data collection and accuracy for Zakat & Tax returns
• Ensure accurate, timely filing of Zakat, Value Added Tax and Withholding Tax returns and other business-related filings
• Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary taxes
• Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company’s Zakat, Value Added Tax and Withholding Tax return and other tax documents
• Plan and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team
• Prepare and file appeals with coordination of Tax Consultant to ZATCA & GSTC against additional Zakat & Tax liability imposed by ZATCA
• Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
• Manage and facilitate zakat & tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules etc.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
• Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects
• Review Customs/Imports data as per Customs Dept. & ZATCA regulations
• Manage insurance functions as needed, including processing claims, billings, and policy renewals etc.
• Maintain records required under the various policies
• Any other ad hoc work requirements as per management

SAR 30,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.


The Person

To be considered for this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA) with relevant exposure to group tax reporting within a large multinational

Specific requirements for the successful candidate would include:

• Being a qualified (CPA/ACA/ACCA) with experience in a similar role for at least 7-8 years
• Strong technical working knowledge
• Deep understanding of the systems, processes and controls involved in an ERP system
• Fluent in Arabic (Read & Write & Speaking)
• Fluent in English (Read & Write & Speaking)
• Strong systems experience (ideally with Oracle Fusion) and excellent Excel skills
