Job Description & Summary
A career in our Financial Services Indirect Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our Financial Services clients optimise cash flow and reduce risk by managing challenges related to indirect taxes. You'll support our clients with all aspects of indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects as well as comprehensive restructuring and reporting value added tax projects.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
- Train and lead staff
- Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
- Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
- Performing initial analysis to assess the quality of the data.
- Preparing reports and dashboards, graphs and data visualizations.
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of tax processes.
- Identify, evaluate and implement tools to support data validation and cleansing.
- Support the tax teams in analyzing different data sets.
- Analytical skills with ability to come up with new and innovative approaches to solving complex and challenging problems.
- Contribute in developing proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
- Attend record and track minutes of meetings, develop project plans and schedules.

Skill Set:

- Data Mining
- Data warehouse
- SQL.
- Proficiency in Excel, Macros, VB
- Business Intelligence tools such Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau and Hadoop is a plus.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications is a plus.
- RPA solutions (UniPath, Automation Anymore, BluePersim) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate project activities and work with cross-functional teams
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Team player

Requirements

Qualifications:

- University Degree in MIS, Finance or related.
- Finance and accounting background.
- Project Management Certifications: CAPM or above.
- Experience 4 - 8 years
