We are currently seeking a passionate and talented teacher of design & technology to join our secondary section.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality learning experiences in an international context. The successful candidate will also play a vital role in enriching students’ lives beyond the classroom through world-class wellbeing and co-curricular programmes.

Key responsibilities:

• Put student wellbeing at the heart of all you do, providing exceptional pastoral care and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where all learners feel valued and secure.
• Take a research informed approach to planning and delivering engaging lessons that motivate, support and challenge all students.
• Foster a positive learning environment where students develop the skills, knowledge and understandings to thrive and succeed.
• Contribute to the holistic development of students through active participation in wellbeing and co-curricular programmes.
• Model and promote a love of life-long learning, actively contributing to the teaching of skills that will support students to flourish as learners.
• Utilise a range of assessment and feedback practices to ensure that students understand their next steps, supporting them with academic and personal growth.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative and exciting learning experiences both within and across subject areas.

Qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in design technology, engineering, industrial design, or education with a relevant specialisation (required).
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in design & technology (including one or more specialisms like resistant materials, textiles, or food technology), ideally within an international or British curriculum context.
• Experience teaching GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, or IB Diploma design technology is highly desirable.
• Strong command of the English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
