Technical Director - Executive Office

The Technical Director will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for all exploration, resource evaluation, and mining operations. This senior role focuses on ensuring the technical integrity, efficiency, and sustainability of the company’s projects. The Technical Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, optimize resource utilization, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the company’s technical strategy for exploration, resource evaluation, and mining operations.
- Align technical initiatives with the company’s strategic goals and growth objectives.
- Provide technical guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.

Exploration and Resource Evaluation:
- Oversee the planning and execution of exploration programs, including geological mapping, sampling, and drilling campaigns.
- Ensure accurate resource modeling, estimation, and reporting in compliance with industry .
- Evaluate the economic viability of projects and provide recommendations for resource development.

Operational Excellence:
- Lead the optimization of mining processes, including mine design, production planning, and ore processing.
- Implement best practices and innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability.
- Monitor operational performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all technical activities comply with local and international regulatory requirements, including environmental and safety standards.
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks across all projects.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with government authorities, investors, and other stakeholders to support project approvals and development.
- Provide technical insights and updates to the CEO, Board, and other key stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing technical team, including geologists, engineers, and other specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to meet project demands.

Technology and Innovation:
- Drive the adoption of advanced technologies, such as AI, geospatial tools, and automation, to enhance exploration and mining operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the company’s technical framework.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in Geosciences, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline is highly preferred.

Experience:
- At least 15 years of experience in the exploration and mining industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale exploration and mining projects.
- Strong understanding of resource evaluation, mine planning, and mineral processing.

Skills:
- Expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in regulatory and reporting standards
