Technical Manager - Enterprise Content Management (ECM)

Job description / Role

• Oversee technical solution implementation, technical requirements and IT resources, as required.
• Coordinates non-functional testing and resources and Lead technical thread of development & testing team and coordinate customer interactions with OpenText representatives
• Support technology aspects of the requirements gathering sessions and translate business need into functional and technical requirements
• Lead development thread related to implementation of enterprise search in ECM environment
• Receive knowledge transfer from OpenText & Correspondence Technical Specialists
• Oversee the Development, configuration and customization of ECM features as specified in the technical design specification for all/some of the following services/components:
• Coordinate with business people regarding ECM presentation services such as Integrated Content, Editors, Scanning / Imaging Tools, Mobile browsers, Portals, web applications, Email, Fax and File System Access)
• Lead ECM Specialist on implementing ECM functionality as specified in the system architecture and design documents developed in the requirements & design phases
• Making Sure that OpenText Technical People that developed the features and components are according to the design specification
• Defining the Training Plan of the Team with coordinators & report to department manager for validation.
• Can be a project manager for one of ECM projects included in ECM Implementation Roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor or preferably Master degree in computer science, information systems or a strongly related field.
• Long reputable experience in Enterprise Content Management system development life cycles.
• Solid understanding of key ECM concepts, data model definition process and various content types
• Ability to review and validate ECM technical design specifications
• Basic understanding of enterprise taxonomy, requirement gathering process and searching capabilities
• Experience in Enterprise Content Management concepts, architecture, and functionalities
• Strong experience in OpenText Extended ECM development or in any of ECM leaders products in the market
• Strong experience in leading a technical thread of an Enterprise Content Management development and testing project
• Knowledge in development of taxonomy related detailed requirements knowledge of OpenText enterprise search functionalities and federated search in OT; knowledge in search solutions that are scalable both vertically (i.e. more content objects), and horizontally (i.e. more content repositories)
• Has an excellent Project Management skills, Communication skills, Presentation skills, Information Systems background, Enterprise Content Management System Development Life Cycle and Databases.
