Job description / Role
For our client, a leading global company for the operation and maintenance of naval vessels, we are currently searching for their operations in Saudi Arabia a Technical Supervisor Naval Maintenance.
Our client is a leading global engineering provider for the operation and maintenance of naval vessels. The client operates at different naval bases in Saudi Arabia and is currently looking for an experienced Technical Supervisor Naval Maintenance.
In this challenging position, the Supervisor will be primarily responsible for the following tasks:
- Overall deployment planning for naval maintenance & workshop teams
- Human Resources Management for Naval Base teams
- Definition of job descriptions & assignments
- Surveillance of operational & maintenance duties concerning quality and deadlines, implementation of corrective actions
- Management of spare-parts warehouse and material handling
- Claim & guarantee management, analysis of defects and estimation of repair costs
- Preparation & planning of medium- / long term maintenance plans
- Implementation and improvement of applicable regulations (i.e. workshop, safety, environment etc.)
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Naval Engineering or equivalent
- Several years of work experience in the fields of Marine Engineering / Ship Management
- Strong management skills in the fields of Naval Engineering & commercial
- Strong HR management skills, preferably experience in leading a naval base / naval building site
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong presentation & moderation skills, ability to act decisively
- Willingness to travel
- Fluency in English, technical & commercial
- Knowledge of the Arabic language would be a plus
