Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Summary:

The tubing bending operator needs to be able to perform all the required activities related to tubing bending preparation, bending, measuring, installation and to support the packaging operations for centrifugal compressor and gas turbine products

Essential Responsibilities:

- Select type and size of tubing and related materials according to job specifications, knowledge of system operation, study of building plans
- Read and understand schematic drawings and tubing isometrics
- Setup and operate various sizes of manual tube benders
- Bend different size of tubes to required shape
- Check bent parts to drawing specification and tolerance using proper measurement and inspect equipment: calipers, ID and OD micrometers, indicators, protractors, tape measures
- Experience with tube fittings installation
- Experience with mechanical tools and mechanical methods
- Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulations

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of tubing bending equipment and ability to adjust and solve problems as needed
- Knowledge of hand tools and equipment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawing, specifications, tubing isometrics
- Previous working experience as tubing bending operator for at least 5 years
- Willing to be challenged to improve skills to meet high quality standards
- Positive "can do" attitude & strong work ethic
- Availability to work on 3 shifts
- Ability to work within a team
