Job description / Role
Brief Overview: To achieve and sustain profitable growth, market share and competitive advantage in the Health Insurance Portfolio by developing proactive and market responsive products, establishing adequate Reinsurance, Supporting the Health Insurance Top-line achievement, Establishing and Sustaining best in class Health Insurance Underwriting & Operations Practices whilst sustaining superior Customer Experience
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
• Achieve & Sustain Profitable Growth, Market Share and Competitive Advantage
• Build & Sustain Best In Class Underwriting, Operations Practices
• Continuous Improvement of all Processes and Turn Around Times (TAT) and Straight Through Put (STP)
• Astute Risk Assessment & Assumption
• Build and Sustain Superior Customer Experience
• Develop Proactive and Market Responsive Products
• Establish adequate Reinsurance Coverage
• Sustaining Competitive Pricing Strategy by obtaining Optimal Reinsurance Treaties
• Recruit, Develop and Manage a Professional Team
• Support Business & Market Development Initiatives
• Achieving Sales Target, Sales Conversion Ratio and Renewal Ratios
• Managing Loss Ratio
• Support with proper Business Intelligence to Minimize Fraud
• Health Insurance Portfolio Analytics, Monitoring & Course Correction

• Regulatory Compliance

Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess at least 15 years of experience in Health Insurance, with at least 7 years of Senior Managerial Experience. Should possess proven track record in setting up, managing, sustaining, turning around and elevating a profitable Health Insurance Business Portfolio to the next level. Hands on experience in a prominent GCC Insurance Market will be a definite advantage.
Professional
• The Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), UK will be essential
• Associate of the Health Insurance Association of America (AHIAA) or
• Fellow of the Life Management Institute (LOMA)
Academic
• Bachelor’s Degree is essential
• Actuarial background will be a clear plus.
• Master of Business Administration will be an advantage
