VAT Manager

Job description / Role

We are working for an exciting opportunity in KSA within VAT. Our client based in Jeddah is looking to hire for a VAT Manager to lead the company in setting up the company VAT department. The role will heavily involve in effective planning, controlling, reporting, monitoring and minimize VAT liability and ensure compliance with the regulatory.

Candidate must be based in Malaysia or have worked in Malaysian market with strong knowledge in VAT implementation - willing to relocate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:
• Delivering VAT reporting on timely basis
• Minimizing VAT liabilities and compliance issues
• Identifying potential tax planning opportunities
• Ensure all month end processes are action on a timely basis
• Liaise with the VAT auditors to ensure 100% compliance
• Maximize efficiencies in working and reporting systems to reduce the VAT/Duty liabilities where possible within the legislative framework.
• Inputting into the groups tax strategy.
• Liaise with and manage the working relationship with GZAT, Revenue & Customs during routine audits and ad hoc enquiries
• Train and educate the key members on VAT rules
• Maintain VAT accounts for group company, process payments on timely basis and ensure refunds are received within reasonable time.
• Any other responsibility as per line manager and management instruction

Requirements

Candidate must be based in Malaysia or have worked in Malaysian market with strong knowledge in VAT implementation - willing to relocate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
