Overview

We are seeking a Technical Support Group Marine Engineer to join the Technical Support Group in Marine Department.

The Technical Support role will include, but not limited to supporting assigned vessels in safety, operational and technical matters, ensuring that vessels are meeting the company and industry standards, and work closely with Engineering Unit, Quality Assurance/Compliance Unit and other members of the technical support team to ensure smooth operations and that vessels meet all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience as a Marine Chief Engineer, Technical Superintendent, or Captain holding an unlimited Class 1 STCW Certificate of Competency.

You must have a minimum of eight years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry and at least two years working as a Master or Chief Engineer.

You must have excellent knowledge of maritime statutory requirements and qualifications as well as extensive experience with international marine regulatory body requirements, classification standards, marine best practices, specifications and rules.

High national diploma or higher-level qualification from a recognized Maritime/Nautical establishment.

A thorough working knowledge of SAP Asset Management systems would be a distinct advantage. The role requires frequent preparation of reports to management, therefore your report writing skills must be of the highest order and you will require to communicate fluently in written and oral English.
