Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Develop warehouse policies and procedures and ensure the same is fully implemented.
• Work closely with Routine Maintenance Team and Central Planning Division to develop material, spare parts and equipment stocking plans.
• Ensure optimum stocking levels to minimise over or under stocking situations and maintain reordering at an economical level.
• Maintain adequate stock database, carryout physical checking and counting on warehouse items and prepare reconciliation reports to resolve quantity discrepancies.
• Manage the material handling contract and contractor employees.
• Plan and update materials plans according to routine and preventive maintenance schedule and maintain optimal stock levels to meet operations and maintenance needs.
• Ensure that all stock items are properly categorized and marked and provide recommendations on storage space requirements, stock quantities and proper methods of stock control and storage.
• Ensure Warehouse staff’s adherence to HSEQ policies and monitor and train staff on safe work practices.
• Liaise with the Procurement Team, Manufacturers and Suppliers to ensure that materials, spare parts and equipment specifications, quantities, descriptions, delivery schedules and tenders are thoroughly inspected and verified.
• Oversee activities of employees engaged in receiving, stacking, labelling, shipping items; and assign duties among subordinates as necessary.
• Ensure that all materials stored in the warehouse are stocked properly and protected from deterioration and weather conditions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent Maintenance Logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in required or related field. 8+ years of experience in required technical field.
• 1 year in an acting supervisory role (Preferred).
• Develop warehouse policies and procedures and ensure the same is fully implemented.
