Water Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to engage in the design and analysis of water transmission and distribution systems, including storage, transmission and distribution facilities (pipelines, pump stations, etc..). The ideal candidate will have more than 7 years of experience in the field, with a strong background in civil or mechanical engineering.

The appointed engineer will be responsible for handling various tasks and assignments commonly exercised in water transmission and distribution system projects, ensuring the delivery of quality outputs within the set timeframes.; engagement with a team of engineers and technicians, providing regular reports to the management and client; following up with relevant stakeholders for data collection and exchange, review of received engineering deliverables and prompt feedback in alignment with applicable specs, facilitation and work progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analysis and design of water systems, including storage, transmission and distribution facilities (pipelines, pump stations, etc.)
- Provide technical support and inputs to the company team and client as needed
- Engage in design and design review activities of the hydraulic and/or mechanical sections of the projects.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to collect data, assess project requirements and identify potential risks and challenges
- Ensure that all work complies with applicable regulatory standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify project requirements and configure effective solutions
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to management and project stakeholders
- Attend and participate effectively in engineering meetings and discussions with clients and other stakeholders

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field
- More than 7 years of experience in the analysis and design of water transmission and distribution systems, including storage, transmission and distribution facilities
- Strong knowledge in the field of urban hydraulics, hydraulic modeling (Steady and Transient Analysis), and mainly water transmission and distribution networks design and operation
- Expertise in Steel Pipe Line Design as per ASME and AWWA standards.
- Hydraulic Analysis and pipe wall thickness determination defining all mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Experience in the Gulf region and particularly in Saudi Arabia is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
