Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage, organize and control an efficient workshop; Manage, plan, control and organize the planned preventative and corrective equipment maintenance in order to maximize their lifespan and ensure safety.
- Provide leadership and supervision for reporting staff to meet company deliverables. Ensure all equipment and assets are designed, built, serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and professional manner. Ensure equipment in the field is promptly repaired and serviceable for field staff to operate.
- Oversee workshop operations including rig repairs, new plant & design and construction activities
- Manage the team of a team of vibro-mechanical, mechanical and electrical maintenance and welding operations. Review staffing arrangements to ensure operational requirements are met. Identify and deal with any potential disciplinary issues.
- Responsible for major maintenance projects, leading the workshop team . Provide a mechanical engineering advisory service in the company.
- Manage unplanned work resulting from breakdown and emergencies, making sure they are dealt with in efficient manner.
- Overseeing purchasing and ordering of supplies and consumables
- Overseeing equipment logistics; Suppliers cost competitiveness and quality evaluation; create & maintain all workshop equipment records and systems.
- Identify and provide staff training opportunities in liaison with Safety & Training Advisor. Introduce a staff training program to ensure personnel are adequately trained for the tasks they are due to perform. Keep up to date with any technical changes within the industry
- Manage the administration of the mechanical workshop, stock and movement; prepare the required reports.
- Work within the Workshop on a regular basis, to retain/update technical skills & knowledge. Be prepared to step in and assist Technicians in times of emergencies & undertake on the job training with Technicians should it be required.
- Establish, implement and monitor safe working practices and procedures. Monitor and action field faults and non-compliances
- All above events must be recorded systemically as per the process procedures
- Adapt and ensure the IMS standards, think safe principles and sustainable requirements where applicable
- Ensure compliance and follow the guidelines of Keller Code of Conduct
- Communication and Relationship
• Internal: Operations, Project Managers, Sites
• External: Vendors, Logistics services providers, safety and certification authorities.

Requirements

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

- Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Strong Leadership Skills; being skilled with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT) and SAP would be a definite plus
- Experience: 15 years of experience; must have experience in mechanical workshop with complex equipment
- Language: Good command of English language both written and spoken, Urdu or Hindi a good plus.
