Overview of the Role

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for managing efficient and effective workshop operations in line with policies set by the Workshop/Aftersales Manager. This role involves overseeing day-to-day activities, guiding technicians, and performing a wide range of multi-skilled mechanical duties to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Ensure optimal utilization of workshop staff, facilities, and equipment.
• Plan, prioritize, and allocate work across the workshop team.
• Monitor workflow progress, ensuring quality and timely completion of tasks.
• Provide technical guidance on repair methods and set repair timelines in coordination with the Service Manager and manufacturer recommendations.
• Support achievement of financial and operational targets within the workshop's area of responsibility.
• Operate the workshop management and parts systems.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and attendance records to support payroll processes.

Required Skills to Be Successful

• Strong hands-on experience in construction equipment.
• Troubleshooting expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine systems.
• Good understanding of warranty terms and conditions.
• Proficiency in report writing and technical documentation.

About the Team

You will report directly to the Aftersales Manager and work closely with a team of technicians and support staff dedicated to delivering high-quality repair and maintenance services.

What Equips You for the Role

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction equipment or industrial products (e.g., generators, compressors).
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine systems.
• Experience in using specialized diagnostic tools for construction equipment.
• Solid understanding of warranty policies and repair procedures.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and company-specific systems.
