Safety Coordinator (French-speaking) – Senegal

Linum Consult's client is an international industrial company well established in Africa.
They are looking for a Safety Coordinator to develop their occupational health and safety management systems in Senegal.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Developing and maintaining the overall OHS management systems
• Ensuring accurate communication, information, and statistical data is captured, maintained, and archived and promptly available at all times
• Ensuring that the management system deliverables are achieved and reviewed for improvements
• Coordinating the site Safety team’s overall understanding of standards and procedures
• Planning, driving, and reviewing the site Audit program
• Developing and monitoring Safety Supervisor work programs
• Hosting visits from Environment/Safety auditors, inspectors, and insurers
• Composing and reviewing forms, documents, and procedures in accordance with the company’s document control procedures
• Leading and driving any major incident investigations on site

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in safety and quality management
• At least 4 years’ experience in safety management, with a minimum of 2 years of supervision experience
• OSHAS18001, ISO14001, ISO9001 Assessor
• Computer literate, with excellent technical knowledge of MS Office including SharePoint
• Strong understanding of risk management and quality management systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in French and English
