Data Engineer

Job description / Role

- Build services and tooling around “scraping” databases, loading logs, fetching data from different data sources
- Design, build and launch new data extraction, transformation and loading processes
- Build key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis
- Engage directly with business partners to participate in design and development of data integration/transformation solutions
- Ensure data quality and availability for ongoing analytics projects
- Help implement and deliver long-term data warehouse and production reporting projects

Requirements

- Four to six years’ experience in a reporting/analytics role with a focus on data transformation, ETL, and design Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, relational SQL and NoSQL databases Knowledge of big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team Passion for acquiring, analysing and transforming data to generate insights
