Job description / Role
Adept Personnel are currently assigned to an International main contractor who are currently delivering a large mixed use development in Colombo, the second city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka. This is an exciting opportunity to work and live in a vibrant and up and coming location on Sri Lanka's most iconic project at present, with a value of well over 500M USD. The project is scheduled to complete Q2 2019 and consists of high class and luxury hotels and resident apartments and modern office space as well as all other associated works.
Our client are looking for an experienced and qualified quantity surveyor to join the project team to assist the commercial and contract departments within the area of claims, contractual correspondence with third parties (engineers/client), contractual letters related to variations & EOT's, attend meetings with both consultant and client, discuss and negotiate variations with the consultant / client & sub contractors.
On offer - competitive tax free basic salary, housing allowance, medical insurance, transportation and rotation leave of 2 weeks paid leave every 3 months.
Requirements
- Degree in either Quantity Surveying or Construction Law
- Membership to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- 20 years experience within construction contract and commercial management including Claims
- Main contractor experience on International projects
- Project experience that includes working on major large scale building projects, ideally mixed use developments including hotels, retail, convention centers, residential & offices
