Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• You will combine tactical leadership and industry knowledge while providing the strategic vision and industry insight that will change the game tomorrow.
• You'll seek out, introduce and apply industry best practices with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and scalability.
• You'll identify, target and acquire the services of small parcel carriers that will support our mission of delivering premium service.
• You'll create, monitor and report on the critical KPI's that measure the performance of the network against agreed upon service standards.
• You'll be responsible for cost tracking that accurately improves the overall efficiency of the organization and reduce costs.
• This position will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of our small parcel network as we increase speed to customers at reduced costs.
• Work with IT to develop/enhance systems to help achieve transportation metrics and automate manual processes. Be the super user and subject matter expert for supply chain software.
• Work with Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, IT, and cross-functional leaders to drive small parcel strategy into the future.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or Business Management
• 5-7 years of transportation experience in small parcel
• Experience negotiating small parcel contracts
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional stake holders, influence decisions, and recommend a course of action based on
• data analytics
• Ability to drive process improvement by implementing checks and balances and identifying process steps that can be
• automated
• Detail oriented and possesses superior organizational, self-motivation and problem solving skills
• Proven leader, ability to motivate and coach team to deliver desired results
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel
• E-commerce background is a requirement, Startup experience is a plus
