Working as part of our successful and established team, you will be responsible for end to end service delivery on a range of complex projects and programmes within our clients’ team.

This will include the management of the day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management service.

We are looking for talented individuals that are looking for an international environment in which to grow and develop their cost consultancy career.

Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting feasibility studies and writing strategic procurement reports.
- Applying value management techniques throughout every stage of the project.
- Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
- Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including pre-qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.
- Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.
- Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
- Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities.

Requirements

- Degree Qualifications is preferred but not essential.
- MRICS is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent technical grounding in all aspects of quantity surveying or cost management is essential.
- Knowledge of all methods of procurement including traditional, D&B, PFI, consortia etc is an advantage.
- Residential, Aviation, Developer, Infrastructure or Major Project experience in either Private or Public Sector is essential.
- Experience of advising clients on Value management, Value Engineering and Life Cycle costing is an advantage.
- Front End scope definition experience, taking and developing a clients’ brief is an advantage.
- Experience in building, motivating and managing a team to deliver a commission and in general line management is an advantage.
