Commercial Head - Taiwan

Our client is a huge construction company with a massive presence in the Asia / Pacific region. Due to their rapid expansion in recent years they are actively seeking a bilingual Commercial Head, VP to join their team in Taipei, overseeing the Hong Kong branch. The successful Commercial Head will be reporting directly to the CEO and play a significant role in leading and organising some of the region's most iconic projects.

The role of the Commercial Head:
- Lead, organise, source and develop the Commercial, Tendering and Procurement Teams in the Hong Kong branch
- Oversee cost control and management reporting functions
- Formulate and execute commercial plans to optimise total revenue
- Supervise the Commercial team and define contractual strategies, draw up claims, variation valuations and missing item valuations
- Lead the full tendering process
- Drive the corporate procurement functions for Hong Kong branch to maximise cost saving opportunity
- Develop the procurement framework and process, from vendor management to cost optimisation

Requirements

- Bilingual in Mandarin and English
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- A member of HKIS/RICS/ICE or equivalent
- Have 20 years relevant working experience with main contractors in large scale civil/infrastructure projects
- Bulk of experience focused on Hong Kong
- 15 years managerial experience
- Excelling communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
