Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Summary:

This position involves providing product support to Aero customers in Iraq. In this role the candidate will need to address Technical issues during operation & maintenance, work with stakeholders to ensure availability & reliability of the fleet. and collaborate to facilitate investigations on field events.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Provide Mechanical support/resolution for TM2500, LM6000 fleet issues in Iraq, MEA or where required (package and gas turbine)
- Support customer problem resolution & presentation through preparation and delivery of technical documents as required
- Oversee technical Installation & Commissioning activities
- Ensuring timely and accurate customer support via use of GE tools & processes
- Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution relating to gas turbine using product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound Engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures.
- Escalate issues as required acting as the liaison between the field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions while contributing to preventive measures
- Partner with the Services Engineering teams and interface with external and internal suppliers to facilitate the logistical implementation of Fleet technical solutions
- Support growth, development and implementation of all product lines

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- BS degree or above in a Mechanical or equivalent technical discipline
- Minimum of 2-4 years of gas turbine technology experience, preferably at least 1 of product line LM2500, LM6000
- Sound understanding & ability to troubleshoot issues related to Package/Balance of Plant/Auxiliaries
- Functional knowledge/experience of Gas turbine operation
- Level 2 site activities' support for LM/TM2500; LM6000
- Demonstrated ability to represent GE in customer communication & discussions
- Demonstrated ability to work with a cross-functional team in a global environment
- Proven record of responsiveness in offering disposition to various stakeholders (regional/global) including customer, service managers, design/repair center of excellence
- Willing to travel to sites in Iraq as required, work off hours and weekends to support emergency issue resolution
- Fluency in English, ability to communicate with local customers & suppliers

- Commercial sensitivity with a focus on power generation industry customer needs
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
- Self-starter, ability to work in remote environment with regional/global teams; demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills proven troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with analyzing field data and information, controls/electrical domain
- Green Belt or Black Belt certified (GE Employees)
