Regional Contract Manager – Türkiye
CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a well-established international conglomerate operating on a wide variety of civil engineering and industrial construction projects. They are currently seeking a Regional Contract Manager to oversee their international projects, to be based in Istanbul, Türkiye.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Developing and delivering the contracts management strategy for the projects
• Preparing and submitting extension of time and/or cost claims, defence against claims, contract amendments, identification and leverage of contractual opportunities through change request management
• Providing contract clarification and interpretation to project teams in order to minimise contractual risk and exposure; providing advice to maximise commercial opportunities for projects and to support business objectives
• Ensuring that project teams interpret and execute the terms and conditions of their contracts, consortiums and subcontracts correctly, overseeing follow-up of the ongoing work orders to ensure that customers, consortium partners and sub-suppliers are complaint with their contracts
• Drafting important contractual responses to customers and within consortiums with the help of project teams, including change management activities, such as change requests and change orders to contractual baseline and subsequent claims
• Representing projects in meetings and negotiations regarding contractual issues
• Contract administration of the contract archives
• Liaising with the Legal Team regarding any legal reviews/input as required

PROFILE

• Degree qualified in Law, ideally with a master’s degree in Construction Law or similar relevant subject
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in contract management for substantial international construction and engineering projects
• Excellent demonstrable knowledge of FIDIC contracts, as well as contract standards used in Türkiye
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong holistic understanding of project, schedule and risk management impacts
• You will be an excellent communicator and negotiator, with a history of dealing with clients and senior stakeholders
