APICS Supply Chain Operations Reference

SCOR is an acronym for Supply Chain Operations Reference model. SCOR was developed to assist businesses to understand, structure, and evaluate the performance of their supply chains. It was founded as a supply chain improvement methodology using process analysis, performance metrics, and best practices to improve supply chains by identifying performance gaps, guiding organizational change management, and providing the analysis needed to drive improvement programs to achieve increased levels of supply chain performance. The ultimate purpose of SCOR is to develop supply chains that focus on satisfying customer demand. SCOR is a supply chain improvement methodology that enables companies to analyze current strategies, quantify performance, and perform benchmarking to identify targets for supply chain improvement. SCOR contains a detailed and comprehensive set of performance metrics and best practices that companies can use to evaluate their supply chain performance. This course consists of two closely integrated parts. The first part contains a detailed review of the content of the two-volume Supply Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR) sourcebook. The second part of the course consists in a review of the basic steps used to create and manage a SCOR improvement program.
