Course Overview

This five-day leadership program, tailored to the Middle East context, gives you a richer understanding of yourself and your impact on others. It will challenge you to review and set new personal and professional goals.

As part of the program you are assigned a personal, executive coach who will help and support you to achieve your goals. The program will also improve your ability to achieve results through other people by giving you the tools to manage their performance more effectively.

You will have three one-to-one coaching sessions altogether. The first one takes place during the five-day residential phase. Two further sessions happen at three month intervals following the residential phase.

The program will:

  • Increase your self-awareness
  • Build your confidence to meet the challenges of leadership and increasing responsibility
  • Improve your understanding of your personal impact, your motivations and leadership style
  • Create opportunities to experiment with alternative leadership behaviors
  • Help maximize your opportunities for immediate performance improvement through other people
  • Increase the potential of those you lead
  • You will leave with a tangible action plan to implement back at work

Course content

Pre-Program Before the program, you complete a Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI) to assess your personality type and individual needs. You also create a Leadership CV to review the factors that build your leadership style.

Residential Phase During the program, you will gain insight into your leadership style, motivations and values. The learning experience combines support and challenge groups, small-group activities and exercises, and a one-to-one session with your personal leadership coach.

Your coach is an experienced, solution-focused ally who will help you identify goals for your development, notice shifts of perspective and create a leadership development plan for continued growth back at work.

You will learn about:

  • Leadership styles in the context of your organization
  • Change leadership and how to manage ambiguity
  • How leaders think, learn and develop
  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Creating value and improving performance
  • How to build and implement a personal and organizational vision

Post-Program

  • There are two further coaching sessions, usually at three month intervals following the residential phase, to help you build on your learning and apply your action plan
  • Many participants choose to continue their coaching relationship further. Please do ask our Program Advisors for more information
  • You will become a member of the Ashridge Alumni network which is an excellent opportunity to continue your personal development and networking
  • You are also given continued access to your online program portal and Virtual Ashridge content for six months after your residential stay. Ongoing support and further learning opportunities are available with Ashridge Momentum
