This one-day programme combines a revision of the basic skills of the English language, with practical activities, and gives delegates an excellent grounding in professional written business communication.

This course has been specifically designed for those who wish to learn, or revise, the basics of English Grammar in a business context. This specially designed Foundation Programme enables participants to improve their basic skills and build confidence to be able to communicate effectively in written English.

• To be able to structure grammatically correct sentences in English
• To appreciate the different verb tenses and their uses
• To understand the correct use of definite and indefinite articles
• To examine the different types of prepositions
• To compose and punctuate grammatically correct sentences
• To recognise and use adverbs correctly
• To practise writing Business English in preparation for the Writing For Business course (Level 1)
• To develop basic reading and comprehension skills
