Online Teaching and Learning

This course is designed for an in-depth learning of best practices for online instruction, student engagement and virtual community building; effective uses of asynchronous and synchronous technologies, social media and other emerging technologies; and data analysis techniques and student performance measurements to individualise instruction in an online or blended environment. This module concludes with an online teaching project. Students must design a comprehensive online or blended module of instruction that incorporates the skills developed throughout the courses.

DURATION: 10 hours

SCHEDULE:

• Schedules on request.
• 2 hours per day for 5 days or 2 hours per week for 5 weeks or 5 hours in 2 days.

CONTENT: foundation of online teaching, technologies, advanced teaching strategies, performance assessment in online classroom and online teaching project and practices.

At the end of the course, you should be able to define distance online teaching and learning methods, to teach online, prepare and create the material, set the virtual classroom, etc..
