This course explores the complexities of managing and developing a small business and gives you practical information concerning the SME sector. This involves exploring the practical implications of self-employment and family-run businesses. Topics include areas of marketing, finance and labour management specific to SMEs that often confront and sometimes destroy small business. Wearing the hat of the entrepreneur, you will learn how to define project requirements and scope, create a project schedule based on resource availability, estimate budget and control project costs, identify and minimise project risks, manage workflow, communicate effectively and control project change.
