Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers? We’re seeking a dedicated individual to excel in the role of Accounts Assistant. Reporting directly to the Finance/Accounts Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. From processing invoices and managing accounts payable to assisting with month-end closing tasks, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our financial accuracy. Your ability to analyse data, manage financial records and support budgeting activities will be instrumental in our success. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue invoices to customers and external partners as required.
• Reconcile invoices, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Assist the accounting team with a variety of projects and tasks as needed.
• Ensure all invoices are accurately prepared and thoroughly fact-checked before dispatch.
• Maintain and update the general ledger and sales journal regularly.
• Document and update accounting procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable duties, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial records are precise and compliant with regulations.
Requirements:
Skills:
• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with accounting software and invoicing tools.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to addressing issues.
Qualifications:
• BA in Accounting is preferred.
