Account Executive - General Insurance - Abu Dhabi

AED 13,800 x 13 months pa, + ‘best in industry’ commission scheme and benefits.

Due to expansion, our client is seeking several Account Executives with General Insurance experience in an Insurance Broker environment, in Abu Dhabi.

The Account Executive serves as the primary initial contact for corporate & individual consumers and is responsible for new business development. This person is expected to consistently generate excellent new business leads, and sales from cold calling, sales meetings, presentations and customer interaction.

You will represent a full suite of General Insurance products from multiple insurance companies, on behalf of our client, and therefore a Brokerage background in General Insurance products is critical to successful appointment, together with 7-8 years experience, 2 of which will be UAE based (as a minimum). We will however entertain insurance sales from the banking industry, although please be aware this is a secondary consideration. We are looking for you to demonstrate prior employment stability and growth within prior organisations.

As the predominant client base is or Arabic or Indian origin, we are seeking ideally Arab Nationals or applicants who can speak Indian dialects. A high standard of written & verbal English is critical, however! This is a tough market, so a robust personality with excellent negotiation & influencing skills are needed.

Our client professes to be the ‘best in class’ and we are therefore looking for Account Executives who consider themselves to be elite, with excellent diction & English vocabulary, …. & we are looking to hire our new team member ASAP! The existing team are all less than 30 years old, dynamic, strong, energetic & focussed, so we seek someone who will quickly embed well in this environment.

You must own your own vehicle and have a valid UAE drivers license, together with a Bachelors Degree in Administration, Business or Management (for example).

With commission, on-target-earnings for performing team members is typically ~AED30k per month!

Some Key Responsibilities include:
- Identifying prospects through various sales channels
- Visiting potential clients and assessing corporate insurance requirements
- Designing adequate covers and providing appropriate consultations
- Preparing proposals and conducting presentations
- Generating and servicing new accounts
- Consistency in meeting / exceeding sales targets
- Managing portfolio renewals and establishing relationship with customers
- Following up for collection of payment
- Participating in sales meetings and appraisals
- Attending Job related training and events to maintain and develop knowledge

Requirements

- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in insurance or banking industry related to general insurance products
- Degree in Business related field.
- Prior experience and understanding in the role of Account Manager – General Insurance Products, within a brokerage environment.
- High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows2007, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Sets priorities and manages work flow independently to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated, creative and innovative.
- Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
- Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
- Promote teamwork by sharing experiences, assisting others when help is needed and maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Strong ability to problem solve, make independent decisions with minimal oversight, set and meet deadlines, communicate, negotiate, work under pressure, organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks and operate in a fast paced environment.
- Keep informed and further industry education, new product knowledge, legislation, coverage's and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
