Account Executive - General Insurance

Job description / Role

Our Client is a well-established Insurance Group in the region. With decades of experience and presence in the region, they are expanding their operations.

We are hiring a dynamic BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / SALES EXECUTIVE / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, with General Insurance experience in an Insurance Broker environment, in Abu Dhabi.

As a Sales Executive you will serve as the primary initial contact for Corporate, SME & individual consumers and will be responsible for new business development including:
- Identifying prospects through various sales channels
- Visiting potential clients and assessing corporate insurance requirements
- Designing adequate covers and providing appropriate consultations
- Preparing proposals and conducting presentations
- Generating and servicing new accounts
- Consistency in meeting / exceeding sales targets
- Managing portfolio renewals and establishing relationship with customers
- Following up for collection of payment
- Participating in sales meetings and appraisals
- Attending Job related training and events to maintain and develop knowledge

Requirements

You will represent a full suite of General Insurance products from multiple insurance companies, on behalf of our client, and therefore a Brokerage background in General Insurance products is critical to successful appointment, together with 7-8 years’ experience, 2 of which will be UAE based (as a minimum)

As the predominant client base is or Arabic or Indian origin, we are seeking ideally Arab Nationals or applicants who can speak Indian languages. A high standard of written & verbal English is critical, however! This is a tough market, so a robust personality with excellent negotiation & influencing skills are needed.

You must own your own vehicle and have a valid UAE driver’s license, together with a Bachelors Degree in Administration, Business or Management (for example).

Our client professes to be the ‘best in class’ and we are therefore looking for Account Executives who consider themselves to be elite, with excellent diction & English vocabulary, & we are looking to hire our new team member ASAP! The existing team are all less than 30 years old, dynamic, strong, energetic & focussed, so we seek someone who will quickly embed well in this environment.
