Job Overview
To support all brands operating under the BAB Gulf FZE portfolio with the accounting and finance function. Entering and maintaining accurate financial records and preparing clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operational use; Reconciling accounts, records, reports and journals; Preparing financial and/or auditor statements, schedules and reports.

Essential functions of the role
• Prepare payment vouchers, cheques and wire transfers and reconciles monthly bank statements.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts; prepare monthly financial statements, including distributing monthly revenue and expenditure reports to various outlets
• Analyze and reconcile expenditure and revenue accounts, make variation analysis
• Monitor and ensure the accurate data is recorded in the financial accounting system.
• Calculate and prepare reimbursement billings and track receivables; reconcile monthly accounts receivable.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual and mid-year budgets.
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly profit and loss reports.
• Manage petty cash, liaise with stores for cash drops.
• Review payroll and cross check for discrepancies and prepare all payment requests for the signatory.
• Manage the fiscal year-end process, physical stock taking and fixed asset accounting.
• Assist various outlets with setting up the POS systems, budget questions, and proper expenditure/revenue accounts coding, document processing and other accounting related activities.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Submit payment requests for international and local suppliers.
• Cross check and prepare all expenses requests.
• Prepare audit schedules for external auditors.
• Overall responsibility of managing the accounting department, cashiers and ensuring the daily banking of cash/Credit card payments collected in various outlets.

Requirements

• Auditing & VAT background/working knowledge.
• High skills in Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and word)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience at the same level of junior accounts ready for the next step.
• Have worked in retail having an understanding of payments going in and out.
• Knowledge of financial accounting systems preferably “Accountmate”
• Bachelor or Major degree with specialization in Accounting
