Accountant

Job description / Role

The main responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying and consolidating transactions
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including preparation of the monthly bank reconciliation reports
• Liaising with service providers to manage invoice approval and processing
• Responsibility for month end closing
• Preparing monthly management accounts, including budgeting and forecasting KPI's
• Providing and interpreting financial information, forecasting future trends and budgeting
• Assisting with the audit process and in the preparation of statutory accounts
• Management of accounts receivables and doing routine payment follow ups
• Preparing and filling VAT and tax returns
• Reviewing employee expense claims and processing monthly payroll
• Assisting with procurement and supplier management, including appointment and management of key vendors
• Reviewing client and supplier contractual terms and negotiating as required
• Other accounting/finance support as needed

Requirements

Profile of ideal candidate:
• Fully / part-qualified ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent
• Must be from a big 4 with audit background
• Month end exposure and experience of balance sheet reconciliations is preferred
• Ability to use MS Excel to a high degree of expertise
• Excellent command of English
• Experience of handling confidential information
